Why do you perform microsuction and not ear syringing?

Microsuction is a safe and effective dry method of ear wax removal. It is recommended by the national institute for health and care excellence (NICE). Syringing is considered to be a more dated method which involves ear irrigation. It is not suitable for perforated ears (something that simply can’t be known when the ear is occluded with wax) and can put undue pressure on the ear drum.
